Join the WHNA Board to shape our community’s future. Bring your unique perspective to tackle key issues and help our neighborhood thrive.  


Westnedge Hill Neighborhood Association is a nonprofit organization, which means we are governed by a board of directors. The board helps guide our strategic thinking as an organization and ensures that we’re acting responsibly financially. They also support special projects or events as needed.​


There are no professional qualifications needed to serve on our board (although you do need to be over the age of 18). It can be helpful to have some experience with nonprofit finances, event management, nonprofit operations, or community development, but you can apply for the board without experience in any of those areas.

Upcoming Election

Our board members serve for limited terms, so we have an annual election for board members whose terms are ending. This year is our very first year in operation, therefore no elections are scheduled until 2026. 


All applications will be on 2026 annual election ballot. 

Responsibilities includes:

 

  • Attending regularly scheduled board meetings. 
  • Help plan, execute, and volunteer at WHNA-sponsored events.
  • Support fundraising and development activities.
  • Extending WHNA’s service reach into the community through your own circle of influence
  • Attended and represent WHNA at community engagement activities as your schedule allows, i.e. public meetings for development or public works projects or on issues related to neighborhood activities and issues.
  • Advise and provide direction to WHNA staff regarding neighborhood priorities.
  • Have fun while ensuring Westnedge Hill are welcoming to all.


 The estimated time commitment is 3-5 hours a month.
