Through Imagine Kalamazoo, thousands of diverse voices joined together to explore opportunities, break down barriers, and chart a new direction for the City. People from every neighborhood contributed ideas about places, programs, policies, investments, investments, and communal goals that were most important to them.

Imagine it!
Dozens of Westnedge Hill neighbors came together to discuss what it means to be a happy city. We held an online workshop that engaged neighbors to participate in answering some key questions the city has asked. This activity was self-organized prior to the re-establishment of WHNA.
Plan It!
After months of valuable community input during the "Imagine It!" phase, the City of Kalamazoo is now launching "Plan It!"—the next step in updating the City’s Master Plan and Strategic Vision.
During "Plan It!", community members will build on the input from the “Imagine It!” phase to redefine the Strategic Vision Goals and identify the key outcomes that will guide Kalamazoo’s future. This input will directly shape the updated Strategic Vision, which will be released for public review and consideration later this spring.
Design It!
We're excited to announce that we'll soon be sharing dates for workshops where residents and neighborhood affiliates can come together to help us imagine the future of our community. Stay tuned for more information!
Design It! Meeting
Design It! meetings are open-house style and designed to be fun, fast-paced, and interactive. There is no formal presentation. Instead, residents can drop in anytime during the event to participate in hands-on activities, ask questions, and share ideas at their own pace.
City staff will be on hand to facilitate stations and listen directly to community perspectives. Whether you stay for 10 minutes or the full event, your input matters.
